Here for sale we have a Cort CEC7 Electro-Acoustic Classical Guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in China in 2022, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Red Cedar top, Pau Ferro back and sides, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Ovangkol fretboard with matching bridge. This guitar is equipped with a Fishman Presys system with side mounted control panel and a Fishman Sonicore pickup, this is equipped with master volume, 3-band EQ and an on-board tuner.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile that is slimmer than usual for a classical guitar whilst still retaining a traditional feel with the 1.761" nut width and flat fingerboard radius. This is a feature of the NX series which is aimed at appealing to both steel string and classical players. The Ovangkol fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets meaning you can make use of all 19 frets.
The voice of the Cort CEC7 is rich and warm whilst remaining incredibly well balanced. The Pau Ferro back and sides help to produce a nicely mellow tone which is brightened up by the Solid Red Cedar top. The guitar projects well acoustically and offers a wide and sensitive dynamic range. This guitar features a Traditional Fan Bracing which helps maximise resonance and volume while still providing good structural support. This helps to balance the highs, mids, and lows of the guitar's sound, and accommodates a wide range of playing styles and techniques. A Fishman Presys system is featured with a Fishman Sonicore pickup, which provides a natural and balanced amplified sound, faithfully reproducing the guitar's acoustic tone. The system is sensitive and responsive, and can be easily adjusted to suit different playing styles and environments, ensuring that you are ready for wherever the gig takes you.
