Here for sale we have a beautiful Eastman AC708CE Electro-Acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in China in 2015, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising an Engelmann Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Rosewood, with multi-stripe purfling and an inlaid wood rosette. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted, along with Gotoh SEP780-06MN tuning machines on the slotted headstock. An undersaddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to discreet sound-hole mounted controls for master volume and tone. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape which fills the hand nicely for a substantial yet articulate and practical playing experience across the register. The volute at the rear is an accurate pre-war feature which is pleasant under the thumb when playing in open position, and paired with the smooth Gloss finish to the rear of the neck makes for a smooth, responsive and vintage-inspired playing experience. The Ebony selected for the fingerboard in this particular example is notably dark in appearance, and with its supremely tight grain adds a real sense of luxury, especially when paired with the Mother of Pearl inlays.
 
The acoustic voice of the Eastman AC708CE is both rich and beautiful, with the Grand Concert body shape providing plenty of depth and a strong bass response. The use of Rosewood for the back and sides adds a sense of character to the sound, with a detailed warm bass and punchy midrange. The Engelmann Spruce top projects fantastically well, and adds a real snap and sparkle to every note played on the instrument. There is plenty of dynamic range on offer, and the instrument feels very responsive to the player's touch. The addition of the undersaddle piezo pickup provides the versatility required for both live and recording situations. A typically well-made and beautifully appointed instrument from Eastman.
