Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot in Vintage Sunburst finish. Crafted in China in 2009 this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with Nickel hardware including an Epiphone Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, along with a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar have been upgraded to a set Seymour Duncans, specifically a SH-1 in the neck position and a ‘59 Trembucker in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays well, with a rather substantial profile which might be described as a 'D' shape. This provides a confidence inspiring grip for chord playing as well as easy fretting in any register. The Gloss finish to the rear feels pleasant to the touch and aids easy transitions up and down the neck. The semi-hollow construction makes this guitar easy on the shoulders on long gigs, and the smooth lines of the body ensure that this is a comfortable guitar to play in either standing or seated positions.
The semi-hollow construction of this guitar means that it resonates and sustains very well. It produces an airy tone with an unpronounced yet well defined low end, detailed upper midrange and sparkly high frequencies. The Seymour Duncans equipped in this guitar truly bring it to life, with a SH-1 humbucker in the neck position offering that ‘PAF’ tone that is universally revered, producing a warm yet articulated vintage inspired sound perfect for clean and overdriven settings. The ‘59 Trembucker in the bridge position offers a similar flavour, but with a slightly hotter output with more scooped mids and plenty of sustain . A versatile package of tones is on offer here, especially with the independent volume and tone controls for each pickup.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you.
