Here for sale we have an Epiphone Noel Gallagher SuperNova semi-hollow electric guitar in Cherry Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 1997 this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body with a Maple centre block, a Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic adjustable bridge and a stopbar tailpiece, along with a set of Kluson style tuning machines. A pair of Gibson Burstbucker humbucking pickups are installed, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays well, with the SlimTaper ‘C’ profile feeling slim yet comfortable in the hand and offering easy fretting in any register. The Gloss finish to the rear feels pleasant to the touch and aids easy transitions up and down the neck, whilst the 12” Rosewood fingerboard and Medium Jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The semi-hollow construction makes this guitar easy on the shoulders on long gigs, and the smooth lines of the body ensure that this is a comfortable guitar to play in either standing or seated positions.
The semi-hollow construction of this guitar means that it resonates and sustains very well thanks to the Maple centre block. It produces an airy tone with an unpronounced yet well defined low end, detailed upper midrange and sparkly high frequencies. The Gibson Burstbucker pickups produce a variety of tones, sounding excellent on clean and slightly overdriven settings, highly suitable for jazz, blues, country or even rock genres. The neck pickup delivers a deep, warm tone that offers clear and rounded notes. The bridge pickup gives the player a more jangly and trebly tone that provides a punchy high-mid range, however the blending of the pickups gives the best of both worlds in the middle position. A versatile package of tones, especially with the individual volume and tone controls for each pickup.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates chipping to the top treble side corner, and both bottom corners. Cracking of the finish continues from the lower chips. The top edges and corners all demonstrate chipping of the finish revealing the wood beneath, with further scuffing and scratching apparent between these. Further indentation piercing the finish can be identified around the perimeter of the headstock. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates moderate indentation to the 6th fret which cannot be felt under the string in playing position. Some glue residue is apparent on either side of frets 8 & 9, likely from previous fret work. The rear of the neck demonstrates consistent very light indentation and scratching throughout the register which are only visible under direct lighting at certain angles.
Overall very good condition, stickers are apparent to both the front and rear face. Light scratching, chipping and indentation is apparent throughout the front face most concentrated on the lower bout. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to moderate scuffing and scratching, some of these markings are apparent immediately whilst others require certain lighting and angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate previous fret work performed to a playable standard. Two lifted fret ends (8 & 9) have previously been glued in place, then levelled and re-crowned. This has resulted in quite flat frets, with a small amount of material for future fret work. This previous work does not impact playability.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. A replacement Epiphone scratchplate has been installed due to a previous owner losing the original.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
