Here for sale we have an Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 2 EQ in Laguna Green finish. Made in the USA in 2010, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Birdseye Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Music Man Classic 4-saddle string-through-body bridge with adjustable mute pads and a set of Music Man open-geared tuning machines. A single Music Man Humbucking pickup with Alnico magnets is installed, and is wired to an active preamp with master volume, treble and bass controls.
The Birdseye Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape which sits comfortably in the hand and provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with slick navigation of the 34" scale, and along with the generous cutaways ensures that access to the upper frets is a breeze. The treble side of the fingerboard has been scalloped in the upper register, similar to what is seen on Billy Sheehan's signature bass. This assists with string bending and lead techniques in the upper register, meaning you can make the most of your expressive playing in the upper register where it really counts.

There is a deep and rich low end growl, with punchy mids and a snappy treble response which blends perfectly into a wide range of musical settings; filling out the low end of the mix and capturing all the attack and sparkle of your playing. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face displays light indentations two of which have caused light delamination of the lacquer which can be seen under direct light near the 'StingRayBass' logo. The tip of the headstock and the bass side edge displays light scuffing and indentations which do not pierce the finish.
Neck: Overall good condition. A previous owner has scalloped the treble side of the fingerboard from the 15th to 21st frets. These scallops are deep but do not affect the structure of the instrument. The work has been carried out to a high standard. The rear of the neck shows a light indentation behind the 3rd fret on the bass side which is lightly felt in the playing position. Mild delamination of the finish can be seen at the bass side of the 5th fret and at the 6th fret on the treble side.
Body: Overall very good condition. At either side of the lower bout on the front face the previous owner has sanded the finish to achieve a 'Relic' aesthetic. This exposes the wood beneath. This work has been carried out to a high standard. At the bass side, the unfinished wood has begun to show discoloration from contact with the forearm. A light indentation is present at the bass side edge of the waist of the front face. All aspects of the body present light scratching and indentations which can only be seen under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. On the upper side of the 20th fret between the A and D strings an indentation is present. This does not affect playability and cannot be felt under the string. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully Functional. Truss rod tool (Spoke Wheel) not included.
Hardware: Fully Functional. The metal hardware displays light oxidation. The bass side of the string dampener has worn away slightly under the E string. This does not impact the functionality of the sponge in dampening the string.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note. The scalloping of the frets does not negatively impact the playability of the instrument.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.25mm - Bass 2.5mm
