Here for sale we have a Fender American Vintage '52 Reissue Electric Guitar in Butterscotch Blonde finish. Made in 2001, this bolt-on construction guitar features an Ash body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a vintage 3-saddle ashtray bridge, vintage-style Kluson tuners, a "Fat C" profile, and two Fender American Vintage single coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

This guitar was designed to be the ultimate vintage experience without the huge price tag. The American Vintage series was designed to present the player with original-era model year guitars. The Ash body provides a very balanced tonal foundation which pairs very well with the Maple neck that gives that classic Tele snap that you would expect from such an instrument. The “Fat C” shaped neck is nice and chunky and fills the hand, providing an authentic playing experience. The vintage frets and 7.25" radius provide a suitably traditional playing experience, well suited to country and blues styles.

The guitar comes fitted with two American Vintage ‘52 Single-Coil pickups that have been voiced to sound just like the original pickups would have in the guitar that you would have bought in 1952. The bridge pickup has that delightful bite and twang that you would expect with plenty of spank for when you want that true country sound. The neck pickup has a beautiful warmth to it that is silky smooth and perfect for rhythm playing and solos alike.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the headstock.

Neck: Overall very good condition, discoloration is apparent to the finish surrounding the frets from regular use. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register, not felt under the thumb in playing position.

Body: Overall good condition, a notable section of the finish has worn away to the rear, surrounded by moderate to notable scratching. This is consistent with buckle rash. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform. This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
