Here for sale we have a Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Telecaster Journeyman Electric Guitar from 2021 in Aged India Ivory finish. Made in the Fender Custom Shop in California, this bolt-on neck construction guitar consists of an Ash body, a Quartersawn Maple neck, and a 21-fret Quartersawn Maple fingerboard. This guitar is a Journeyman relic, which is meant to replicate a well-cared-for electric guitar that shows the “patina of age, with finish checking, oxidation on the metal parts, and discoloration of the plastic.”
 
The features of this guitar also include a Custom Shop '58-'63 "Fender Pat Pending" bridge with a raised saddle, Narrow Tall frets, Micarta inlays, a contoured neck heel, a 60s Style Oval "C" neck profile, and Custom Shop aging to the finish. This Postmodern masterpiece comes fitted with a Fender Wide Range Humbucker CuNiFe in the neck position, and a Handwound Loaded '51 Nocaster single coil in the bridge position. These pickups are hand-wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
 
The aged Quartersawn Maple neck feels like an old friend that you have been reunited with after 50 years of being apart, with extreme comfortability and ease of use. The 60s Style Oval "C" neck profile sits ergonomically and comfortably in the hand, feeling chunkier than modern Fender necks without being at all cumbersome. The relic work to the rear of the neck provides the sensation of a satin finish, making navigation of the 25.5” scale a breeze. The 9.5" radius is very practical for both chording and lead lines, whilst the Medium Jumbo frets offer enhanced string bending and vibrato feel.  
 
The Wide Range Humbucker and Handwound Loaded '51 Nocaster Bridge Pickup provide a rich, varied and authentically vintage set of tones. The neck pickup provides warm glassy clean sounds that are thick, smooth and pack a real punch. The middle position is slightly brighter with a detailed mid range that is a perfect blend of the humbucker and single coil, whilst the bridge position provides all of the brightness and spank that you would expect. The pickups handle overdrive well, with anything from crunchy blues tones to hard rock sounds well within reach, making this guitar fit into a wide range of musical styles and a perfect workhorse. This guitar is an excellent example of why Fender have long been renowned as the pinnacle of guitar building, and why their designs have stood the test of time, a great opportunity to own a modern iteration of a piece of Fender's history.
