Fender Highway One Jazz Bass 3 Color Sunburst 2007 Electric Bass Guitar
Here for sale we have a Fender Highway One Jazz Bass in 3 Color Sunburst Satin Nitrocellulose finish. Made in the USA in 2007, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Chrome hardware including a BadAss Bass II bridge and vintage-style open-geared tuning machines. A pair of Fender Jazz Bass Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to independent volume controls along with a 'Greasebucket' master tone control. 
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip across the register whilst remaining easily manageable in all positions. The Rosewood fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The frets appear to be medium jumbo, and certainly provide a rock-solid playing surface with a smooth and comfortable action for string bending and vibrato techniques. 
 
The pair of Fender Jazz Bass Single-Coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver classic original-era tone and power, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound without over complicating things or getting in the way of the playing experience. The 'Greasebucket' master tone control is a special feature introduced by Fender to reduce the increase in bass frequencies associated with rolling the tone down. This means that you only wind back the high end when you turn the tone down.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall excellent condition. A very light scuff mark is present to the tip of the headstock. Any other markings are difficult to discern.

     

    Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

     

    Body: Overall very good condition. A moderate indentation is present to the inside of the bass horn, not piercing the finish. Chipping of the finish is apparent to both sides of the neck pocket. The finish has buffed from satin to gloss at regular contact points such as the treble side waist.  Moderate scratching and indentation is apparent to the bottom edge. The truss rod cavity on the pickguard shows scratching consistent with the use of a truss rod tool. 

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. The strap buttons have been replaced. No original parts are included. 

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note. A small gap is apparent between neck and neck pocket, not affecting neck alignment.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm

    Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
