Here for sale we have a Fender Standard Jazz Bass Left Handed in Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2009, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Gotoh 4-Saddle bridge and HipShot open-geared tuning machines. A pair of Fender Standard Jazz Bass single-coil pickups are fitted in the middle and bridge positions, and are wired to independent volume controls and a master tone.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial yet articulate grip across the register. The 1.5" nut width is nice and traditional, offering ample string spacing for accurate fretting. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius offers a tactile, durable and practical playing surface. The Medium Jumbo frets provide a rock -solid sensation under the fingers whilst enhancing the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Mild to moderate indentation is apparent around the edges of the headstock. This is most notable to the treble side tip of the headstock where the finish is lightly cracked.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentation is fairly consistent across the rear of the neck, most notably to the treble side. These markings are only lightly felt in the playing position and do not impact the overall playability of the instrument. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall good condition. This guitar demonstrates a "relic" type finish which has been applied by a previous owner. The bass side body contour has been sanded back to reveal the wood beneath, with the surrounding finish demonstrating consistent moderate scratching which causes a matte effect. More notable scratching is present at the bass side edge of the upper horn. All aspects of the body demonstrate moderate to notable scratching, indentation and chipping of the finish. This is most notable to the rear face, consistent with mild buckle rash.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. The bridge has been replaced with a Gotoh 4 saddle bridge, and the tuners have been replaced with Hipshot open-geared tuners. The pickguard has been changed for an appropriate tortoiseshell one. No original parts are included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
