Here for sale we have a Fender MIJ Traditional '60s Jazzmaster in the rare limited edition Blue Flower finish. Made in Japan in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including an aftermarket 6-saddle adjustable bridge, floating tremolo tailpiece and vintage-style split post tuning machines. A pair of aftermarket Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Jazzmaster single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to the standard Jazzmaster controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'U' shape profile filling the hand nicely for an authentically vintage-inspired yet articulate playing experience across the register. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, and along with the offset body design and generous cutaway the full 21 fret range of the instrument is easily accessible. The offset body is supremely comfortable in both standing and seated positions, and allows for convenient placement of the extensive controls, ensuring that everything is within easy reach without being intrusive to the playing experience.
The pair of Jazzmaster single-coil pickups have been upgraded to Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Jazzmaster single-coil pickups. This is a discreet, drop-in upgrade which delivers a bright and nicely refined '60s Jazzmaster tone. There are glassy cleans and a crisp high-end which provides all of the Jazzmaster 'jangle' that you could wish for. On the lead circuit, the neck pickup is warm and round whilst remaining clear. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, capturing all the 'snap' and attack of your playing without sounding brittle. The rhythm circuit provides a darker tone, making this a very versatile instrument that works well in a variety of musical settings.
