Here for sale we have a Fender OPB51 '51 Reissue Precision Bass in Butterscotch Blonde finish. Manufactured in Japan in the revered Fuji-Gen facility between 2007-2010, this bass features a bolt-opn neck construction comprising an Alder body, a Maple oval type neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. So that it can offer the most authentic vintage experience, this bass comes with an OPB-Vintage two barrel bridge, vintage open-gear tuners, and a single coil Fender ‘51 pickup with a master volume and master tone control.
The Maple neck plays very comfortably, with the ‘U’ profile filling the hand assuringly while still allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The double cutaway body design offers extended access into the upper register. This works well with the Gloss finish to the rear of the neck, allowing for smooth navigation of the 34” scale. The vintage style fret wire feels great under the fingers, and provides the versatility required for a wide range of styles and techniques.
The tone of the '51 Precision Bass is exactly what you’d expect from such a traditional design. The single coil pickup delivers a vintage flavour with a snappy response and a defined top end. Each note across the entire fretboard is articulated and balanced with no muddiness in the lower registers and a punchy timbre across all notes. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focused on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

Headstock:
Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock present minimal signs of past use.
Neck:
Overall very good condition. Light scratching and very light denting is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the mid register and can not be felt under the thumb in playing position.
Body:
Overall very good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the rear face lower bout bass side.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
