Here for sale we have a Fender Player Jazz Bass Fretless in a 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2022 this bass features an Alder body, a Modern "C" Maple neck, a Pau Ferro fingerboard and Standard Open-Gear tuners. This example has been upgraded to include a set of Kent Armstrong JBLR1 & JBLF1 pickups, wired to the typical individual volume controls and a master tone pot.
The bass plays very well, its satin finish modern ‘C’ profile neck sitting very comfortably in the hand allowing for fluid movement across the whole neck. The fretless nature of the bass further enhances the effortless playing experience. Classic Jazz Bass cutaways and contours give you very easy access to the whole range of the instrument and this bass in particular is quite lightweight at 8.8lbs, saving your shoulders on those long gigs.
The Split Tube Kent Armstrong pickups are the perfect accompaniment for a fretless, delivering a warmer, fuller, and slightly louder output than the standard Jazz pick-up classic, accentuating the smooth sound fretless instruments are revered for. Independent volume controls for each pickup in conjunction with a master tone pot give you plenty of tone shaping without being over-complicated.

Headstock:
Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock present minimal signs of past use.
Neck:
Overall excellent condition. On the bass side of the nut a small indentation is present, this can be felt under the fingers. Above the nut indentations are present due to the strings touching the wood, this does not affect the structure of the instrument. All other aspects of the neck present minimal signs of past use. The fingerboard presents indentations from wound strings across the register, this can not be felt under the fingers.
Body:
Overall excellent condition. Light scratching is present to all faces, most noticeably below the bridge where the strings have rubbed against the finish when the strings have been replaced.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5" hex) included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. The original pickguard has been replaced with a Tiny Tone tortoise shell pickguard; the original pickguard is included. The pickup covers displays light to moderate scratching, this is common due to regular use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-Treble 2.75mm - Bass 3.00mm
This bass has had a shim put in the top of the neck to help eliminate fret buzz which was apparent from the 15th fret upwards on all strings. This is still audible but to a much lesser extent.
Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
Electrics:Fully functional. The original pickups have been replaced with a set of Kent Armstrong pickups. The original pickups are included.
Case & Accessories:
This bass comes with an aftermarket Fender ABS hard case, this case presents minimal signs of past use.
