Here for sale we have an absolutely stunning Gibson ES-350-T hollow-body guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 1980, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a hollow body with Laminated Maple top, back, a 3-piece Maple neck with a 22 fret Double Parallelogram inlaid Rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware is fitted including a ABR Tune-O-Matic bridge and a Trapeze StopBar tailpiece, along with a set of Gibson branded Schaller models with ‘tulip’ style buttons tuning machines with Keystone buttons. A pair of original Gibson patent number embossed humbucking pickups are installed, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent controls for volume and tone.

The Gibson ES-350-T is an electric guitar model from Gibson Guitar Corporation and was released in 1955. The ES-350-T is a further development of the Gibson ES-350 model from 1947 and as such has a completely hollow body. The unique feature of the Gibson ES-350-T at the time of its market introduction was the reduced body thickness, as a result, the guitar has a thinner body compared to instruments of the time that had a full thickness body and was favoured by the likes of Chuck Berry. The ES-350-T, together with its sister models Gibson ES-225 TDN and Gibson Byrdland, was one of the first models of the thinline guitar type.

The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the 'C’ profile filling the hand nicely for a comfortable grip across the register without being at all cumbersome, encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning for easy reach across the 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. With a traditional 12" radius, the fingerboard is highly practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper register. The smooth lines of the body are supremely comfortable in the arms, and with the Thinline nature of the body offers an instrument that is pleasure to play for longer durations.

The tone of the ES-350-T is extremely versatile, and lives up to Gibson's claim of combining the best elements of their most popular models. Dark and moody jazz tones can be achieved by rolling down the tone control in the neck position, whilst both pickups deliver enough power to drive your amp into a saturated distortion for Nugent-esque licks and even heavy rock sounds. Lightly rolling down the volume controls allows the guitar to ring through with its characteristic clarity and warmth, providing a richness that is sought after by many. The traditional dual-humbucker controls offer comprehensive control of your tone. This superb guitar demonstrates why Gibson has been and still remains one of the premier guitar brands in the world.
