Here for sale we have a Gibson J-45 Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2009, this guitar features a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, a Mahogany neck with a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Featured on this guitar are a set of Grover tuning machines and a LR Braggs Element Undersaddle Active pickup system.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, providing ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers allowing for easy navigation up and down the neck. The Rosewood fretboard with rolled edges feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The dreadnought design fills the arms, providing a dynamic and responsive playing experience, making the user feel the resonance that this guitar produces.
This guitar has a well-balanced and dynamic tone, producing a warm and rich sound, with a strong and clear midrange. The Sitka top and scalloped bracing contribute to the guitar's excellent projection and sustain, producing a bright and crisp high end that is well-articulated, whilst the Mahogany back and sides offer a warm and deep low end that make chords hum and chime. The LR Baggs Element Active pickup allows the instrument's voice to be captured organically, displaying the natural voice of this guitar beautifully through an amplifier.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition. Checking is present across the finish, in line with aged nitro finish. Moderate scuffing causing fading of the finish is apparent to the top treble side corner of the front face. Light finish cracking is apparent to the join between faceplate and headstock.
Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the mid register and can not be felt under the finger in playing position. Light discolouration is present to the upper register of the rear of the neck. Indentation from regular use is apparent in the early register of the fingerboard not affecting the overall playability.
Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to all surfaces of the body, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face lower bout. Light discoloration is present to the front and rear face lower bout and the lower bout side edge. Light indentation is apparent to the lower bout of both the front and rear, with some further scuffing to the bottom edge. Notable nitro checking is apparent, most notably by the pickguard.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
