Here for sale we have a Gibson Parlor Mahogany M electro-acoustic guitar in Light Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2019, this guitar was part of Gibson's short-lived Avant Garde series and features an all-solid construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 19 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The body is double bound, with multi-stripe purfling, whilst the top is handsomely adorned with a multi-strip and Abalone rosette and Tortoiseshell pickguard. A Tusq saddle and nut is fitted, along with Chrome Mini Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. An LR Baggs Element undersaddle piezo pickup is fitted, and is wired to a sound hole mounted master volume control. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the 'Advanced Response' profile filling the hand for a substantial yet articulate grip across the register. One might describe the profile as an Even 'C' shape, which along with the 16" fingerboard makes for a smooth and versatile playing experience. The Rosewood of the fingerboard provides a tactile and pleasant playing surface under the fingers, whilst the cutaway ensures that the player can utilise the entire board. The Mother of Pearl inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience whilst ensuring easily legible navigation of the register. 
 
The acoustic voice of the Gibson Parlor Mahogany M is soft and intimate, just as you would expect from a Parlor-size body. Lows are warm without being too soft, whilst the midrange is open and clear. There is plenty of brightness provided by the Sitka Spruce top along with a surprisingly wide dynamic range for such a small body. The all-solid construction ensures a lively and resonant sensation in the arms, really rewarding soft playing with a beautifully rich tone which is well suited to recording. The addition of the LR Baggs Element undersaddle piezo pickup provides the versatility required for live situations, as well as assisting with studio recording. A unique instrument from Gibson.
