Here for sale we have a Godin Freeway SA Electric Synth Guitar from 2009 in a Black finish. With the parts made in Canada and the guitar assembled in the USA, this guitar features a Silverleaf Maple centre body with Poplar wings, a Hard Rock Maple neck, a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard, a floating trem bridge equipped with Ghost saddle pickups and the Hexpander Modular Preamp, a 13-pin MIDI socket that is compatible with Roland GR-Series Guitar synth units, two Godin humbucking pickups and a Godin single coil pickup that are wired to a Guitar volume, Guitar Tone, Synth Volume, 5-way pickup selector, a 3-way toggle between synth, guitar or both and a Momentary mini toggle that serves multiple functions on the synth setting.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Slim Medium profile and Satin finish to the rear providing comfortable navigation and ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The 12" radius and Rosewood fingerboard provide an authentically vintage feel, whilst also helping with bending and vibrato technique thanks to the Medium Jumbo frets and offer a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The smooth lines of the body feel great in both seated and standing positions, allowing the musician to indulge in playing this beautifully constructed instrument for extended periods of time.
The Godin humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The Godin single-coil in the middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Godin humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. The 13-pin MIDI socket allows you to connect to a Roland GR-Series synth unit which will then allow you to turn your guitar into a synth, allowing you to experiment with endless possibilities.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. Light scratching is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable across the rear face. Light denting is present to the rear face and side edges and the top side edge. This is most noticeable to the treble side edge around to the rear face. Colour transfer is present to the top side edge.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the fingerboard and rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the higher register of the fingerboard and can not be felt under the finger in playing position. Light denting is present to the rear of the neck, most noticeably to the lower register behind the 3rd fret. This can lightly be felt under the finger in playing position.
Body: Overall good condition. Light scratching is present to all surfaces of the body, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face lower bout. Denting which has damaged the finish is present around the lower bout side edge and to the front face bottom centre of the lower bout.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
