Here for sale we have a Godin Progression, finished in Gloss Black. This guitar was assembled in 2008 in the USA with parts made in Canada. The Maple neck is bolted to the body, which consists of a Silver Leaf Maple centre with glued-on Poplar wings. The guitar is fitted with three GS-2 single coil pickups, controlled with a High Definition Receiver switch, 5 way blade switch, master volume and master tone knobs. 
 
The neck feels comfortable in the hand, with a slim feel and satin finish to the back. Fretting is assisted by the large radius fretboard making for a precise playing experience in all registers, and the sculpted neck heel improves access to the upper frets. The body is weighty, feeling sturdy and dependable, however the body contours enhance comfort making it easier on the arms. 
 
The Godin has a distinctly Strat sound to it when plugged in, courtesy of the trio of singe coil pickups. There is plenty of warmth in the neck whilst the middle and bridge pickups step up the brightness. The High Definition Receiver (HDR) switch turns the pickups to active mode when engaged, which really beefs up the sound and allows for thick creamy lead sounds.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, with a more notable, yet still mild, dent to the bass side of the front edge between the D & G machine heads. The scratching is visible at certain angles under bright lighting.
Neck: All aspects of the neck show minimal markings.
Body: All aspects of the body show very light scratching, visible at certain angles under bright light, as is common with gloss black finish.
 
Condition of Frets:
The frets show very light signs of use, not affecting playability.

This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
