Here for sale we have a Gordon Smith GS2 electric guitar in Natural finish. Made in the United Kingdom, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising an Alder body, a Maple neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a set of sealed tuning machines and a Chrome Top Loading bridge. The pickups are a pair of Gordon Smith humbuckers that are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume and tone controls with a coil split for each pick up on the volume controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘D’ feeling slender the hand without being cumbersome, promoting ergonomic thumb position and providing an articulate playing experience. The 14" fingerboard radius strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and smooth lead lines, making for a truly authentic yet refined Les Paul playing experience, whilst the wider fingerboard and brass adjustable nut increases the playing area while still retaining the original string spacing.
The Gordon Smith humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Gordon Smith humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. The addition of independent coil splits adds the versatility of single-coil style tones for those softer sections.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall good condition Both the bass and treble side corners display moderate chipping and indentations of the finish, these have broken through the lacquer exposing the wood beneath. A notable chip is present to the tip of the headstock, this has broken through the lacquer finish exposing the wood beneath. The front face of the headstock displays light scratching.
Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays light indentations, this is most notable behind the 6th fret on the treble side, these can be felt under the thumb. Either side of the fingerboard displays lacquer chipping, this is common with regular use. The fingerboard displays light scratching across the register, these can not be felt whilst in the playing position. Indentations are present to the fingerboard, these are most notable at the 12, 15, 20 and 21 inlays.
Overall very good condition. Indentations are present to the bass side of the front face lower bout, these have broken through the lacquer but do not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to all faces of the but which can only be seen under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show notable signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register, this does not impact the feel or sustain of notes. There is light material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (socket stud 5/16")
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All the metal hardware presents tarnishing. The bridge screws display indentations where the previous owner has used a screwdriver to adjust the bridge. The pickguard displays light to mild scratching this is common with regular use in a high contact area.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
