Here for sale we have an Ibanez AS153 semi-hollow electric guitar in Antique Yellow Sunburst finish. Made in China in 2013, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Flamed Maple top, back and sides, a 3-piece Maple/Mahogany neck and 22 fret Ebony fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with hardware including an ART-1 bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece as well as sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed are a Seymour Duncan SH-1B 59 humbucker in the neck position and a Ibanez Super 58 humbucker in the bridge position, these are wired to a 3-way selector, bridge volume, bridge tone, neck volume and a neck tone control.

The 3-piece Maple/Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘AS Artstar’ profile feeling nicely slim and allowing for fast and easy navigation of the 24.75" scale. The Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, with its 12" radius allowing for bending and vibrato techniques. The double cutaway body design allows unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those fast lead lines. The compact size of the body makes it easier to play for extended periods of time compared to larger semi-hollow guitars but not diminishing from the overall tone.

The Seymour Duncan SH-1B 59 humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Ibanez Super 58 humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output,  providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. The addition of independent coil splits adds the versatility of single-coil style tones for those softer sections. The semi-hollow construction means that the tone is more open and airy than a solid body, whilst the pickups ensure that the guitar can drive an amplifier with ease, and is well suited to a broad range of genres. The classic control layout offers ease of use and a broad sweep of both volume and tone to really help you accurately dial in your desired tones.
