Here for sale we have an Ibanez K5 5-String Electric Bass in Black Flat finish. Made in Indonesia in 2009, this bolt-on neck constructed bass features a Nyatoh body, a 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Hipshot machine heads, an EB-7 bridge, and a set of active IBZ ADX5 pickups that are wired to a master volume, a pickup balance control, and a vari-mid 3-band EQ. Best known for his work with American Nu Metal band, 'Korn', this is the signature bass for Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and is fully equipped to handle meaty, aggressive tones.
The 5-Piece Maple/Walnut neck plays very well, with its K5 profile feeling slim and responsive making for an efficient playing experience that you would expect from Ibanez. The fifth string is super easy to fret thanks to the slim easy-to-grip neck. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck feels pleasing under the thumb and enhances transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cut design of the body makes for great access to the higher register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and its 12” radius this neck is designed to accommodate any playing style.
The pair of Ibanez IBZ ADX5N pickups produce a modern voicing, which offers a massive reduction in noise, the thick low end is complemented by driving mids and sparkly top end that helps put your playing front and centre in the mix. The simplistic nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic for ease of tonal sculpting, whilst the Vari-Mid EQ and the Treble and Bass boost/cuts adds extra depth to the overall tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations can be seen to the top edge of the headstock, these have not pierced through the finish. The front face display very light scratching which can be seen under close scrutiny.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light to moderate indentations are present to all faces of the body, most noticeably to the treble and bass side edges. Moderate wear marks are present to all aspects of the body, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the treble side of the neck pickup where the markings have broken through the finish exposing the wood beneath. The satin finish to the body at high contact areas have polished to a gloss texture, this is common with regular use on satin finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display moderate tarnishing and oxidation. The pickup covers display 'polished' wear marks where regular past use has taken place.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.75mm
