Here for sale we have an Ibanez RG570 in Black finish. Made at the FujiGen factory in Japan in 2002, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, maple neck with Bubinga 'skunk stripe' and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid dot inlays. 'Powder Cosmo' hardware is fitted, including an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system and Gotoh SG38 sealed tuning machines. The pickups are installed in an HSH configuration, with an Ibanez V7 in the neck, S1 in the middle and V8 in the bridge. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls.

The Maple neck plays very well, with Ibanez' 'Super Wizard' profile offering a fast, smooth and slim playing surface across the register. Certainly on the thinner side, the profile presents a slightly flattened area to the centre which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning and easy reach in any position. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with it's 17" radius is well suited to lead lines and solos. This is further enhanced by the Jumbo frets, which ensure that string bending and vibrato techniques feel smooth and effortless. In conjunction with Ibanez' 'All Access Neck Joint' which is sculpted for optimum access to the upper register, the neck of the RG570 really lives up to the high standard of playability we expect from an RG series guitar.

The trio of Ibanez pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide range of tones that work well in a variety of musical settings. It has to be said that the HSH pickup configuration with a 5-way switch is one of the most versatile available, and this example goes a long way to confirming that. There is plenty of grunt on offer from the bridge, which when driving the amp delivers a saturated distortion tone that's perfect for your rock and metal rhythm playing. The power of the V7 in the neck position is perfect for lead lines and solos, whilst the clarity of the S1 single-coil in the middle position works well with the split humbuckers in positions 2 & 4 to deliver sparkling clean tones.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The tip of the headstock displays a very light scuff mark and indentation to the rear edge which does not pierce the finish. Light scratching to the front face can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light discoloration is present to the rear of the neck beside the truss rod channel at frets 2-4. This is not felt under the finger and could simply be due to the grain of the wood. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. Some light chipping of the finish is present around the bridge cavity to the front face.Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light and close scrutiny, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the centre of the lower bout below the bridge. A light scuff mark is present at the front edge of the treble side lower bout.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
