Here for sale we have a Jackson David Ellefson Concert CBX IV Electric Bass from 2020 in Quicksilver finish. Best known for co-founding metal band 'Megadeth', David Ellefson teamed up with Jackson to create an affordable, feature-laden metal machine. Made in Indonesia, this bass features a solid Poplar body, Maple neck and 21-fret Indian Laurel fingerboard. Other appointments include a Jackson HiMass bridge, Black hardware, and a set of EMG HZ35 humbucking pickups. The pickups are wired to a master volume and blend controls as well as an active three-band EQ.
The Satin finish neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a 'shallow D' shape that offers a comfortable grip whilst remaining slim enough for fast, articulate playing. The 1.625" nut width feels familiar and offers comfortable string spacing. The 12-16" compound radius ensures that string bending and fast bass parts are effortless in the upper register, whilst the rounder radius of the lower register is more comfortable for riffing and playing in the groove. Dual cutaways give unobstructed to the upper frets, while the smoothly contoured modern body offers a connected playing experience, really letting you feel every note.
The pair of Active EMG HZ35 humbuckers sound thick and commanding, with a deep low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with crisp, articulate highs. Such a broad frequency range and high, active output ensure a thundering bass tone, well suited to metal genres whilst being versatile enough to produce a range of tones. The EQ is particularly natural sounding while still being very responsive, allowing you to easily shape the tone right on your bass without sounding overly harsh. The perfect instrument for metal riffing whilst offering a surprising amount of versatility.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching to the front face is visible under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes. All other aspects of the headstock present minimal signs of past use.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the fingerboard and binding. This is most noticeable to the treble side binding at fret 18. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard present minimal signs of past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light cracks to the finish are present around the neck pocket to both the front and rear faces. These do not go into the wood therefore cause no structural concern. Cracking of the finish is present to the treble side of the lower bout on the front face. This has left this part of the finish fragile to chipping away. In the same area, the rear edge of the body shows wear to the finish with what appears to be glue residue over it. The edges of the guitar show light scratching under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.
