Here for sale we have a Larrivee OM-03R Electro-Acoustic guitar in Natural Satin finish. Jean Larrivee works out of sunny Oxnard, California with few staff and is known for seeking out the finest high-performance tonewoods in the world and carefully crafting them into instruments demonstrating the true excellence of their luthiery.
 
This Larrivee OM-03R was handbuilt in Oxnard, California in 2015 and features an all-solid construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching headplate and bridge. A bone saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Larrivee tuning machines. A Shadow Micro-Sonic NanoFlex pickup is installed and is wired to discreet soundhole-mounted volume and blend controls.
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which could be described as a slim 'D' filling the hand comfortably without being at all cumbersome. This promotes ergonomic thumb positioning and easy reach across the register, perfect for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25.6" scale length, whilst the Ebony adds a touch of luxury to the already opulent playing experience. The OM body shape and smooth lines make for an extremely easy playing experience, providing comfort in both standing and seated positions.
 
The acoustic voice of the Larrivee OM-03R is balanced and rich, providing great projection and good volume due its smaller size. The Solid Rosewood back and sides enhance the character of the tone, producing a smooth mid range and responsive and strong bass that is complemented well with the brightness of the Spruce top. Furthermore the Spruce top projects beautifully, delivering ample volume and dynamic range whilst retaining clarity throughout. The Shadow Micro-Sonic NanoFlex pickup faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument while offering comprehensive control of the tone, making this guitar a perfect partner for a song/songwriter.
