Here for sale we have a MTB Kingston Super-5 5-string bass in Matte Black finish. Built in China in 2022, this bass features a bolt-on construction Ash body, Satin finished Maple neck and a 24 Medium fret Maple fingerboard. This bass is fitted with a MTD quick release bridge and sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured consist of a pair of MTD MM humbucker pickups, these are wired to a volume, blend, plus 3 band EQ, two single/series, parallel switches
 
The Maple neck profile allows you to navigate the Maple fingerboard with ease, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 16” radius provides a comfortable playing surface and with the 1.7” nut width allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Satin finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register.
 
The pair of MTD MM humbucking pickups produce a modern voicing, which offers a massive reduction in noise, the thick low end is complemented by driving mids and sparkly top end that helps put your playing front and centre in the mix. a 3-band active preamp, the Kingston Super sports a mini-switch for each MM-style pickup. While in the down position, the pickups are in hum-cancelling series mode, providing a bold punch and growl. In the middle position, the pickups are in single coil mode, making them sound bright and twangy. In the up position, the pickups are in hum-cancelling parallel mode, making them sound bright and sweet, with a slightly lower output than series mode. When both pickups are in single coil mode and the blend pot is centred, they are hum-cancelling.
