Here for sale we have a PRS Custom 24 in Orange Tiger finish. Made in the USA in 2013, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flame Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, inlaid with bordered abalone birds. Nickel hardware is fitted including a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge and PRS locking open-gear tuning machines. A pair of PRS 57/08 humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Pattern Regular' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, it's 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive bordered Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience.

The pair of PRS humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Both top corners show light chipping to the front and rear edges, more notably to the treble side where the wood is lightly exposed. At the outer edges of the headstock near the two E tuners light indentations are present, lightly piercing the finish on the bass side. A further indentation which very lightly pierces the finish is present to the front face near the 6th E tuner. Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the front face.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard shows light wear marks in the early register, consistent with moderate playwear. The rear of the neck shows two light indentations at the heel, one of which has pierced the finish and exposed the wood beneath. Very light scratching to the rear of the neck can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentation to all aspects of the body exposes the wood in places, most notably to the rear face at the belly contour, consistent with buckle rash. Mild chipping of the lacquer is apparent around the top of the body, most notably around the bottom edge where the wood is exposed. Light to mild indentation is apparent across the front face, lightly piercing the finish in places. This is most notable at the treble side of the waist where it appears a ‘drop-fill’ repair has been attempted. Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable at the bass side of the bridge and treble side of the waist, consistent with paywear.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets show mild signs of use. Very light denting can be seen in the early register and flattening of the frets is noticeable throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
