Here for sale we have a PRS Paul's Guitar in Yellow Tiger finish. Made in the USA in 2023, every element of this guitar has been specified personally by Paul Reed Smith himself, and represents Paul's vision not only as a guitar builder but also as a player who requires a versatile instrument. This guitar is a realisation of Paul's latest discoveries about tone and playability, and is built to the highest quality and achieves an outstanding fit and finish. 
 
A set neck construction is employed, and comprises a Mahogany body with a Violin Carved Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Honduran Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted, including a PRS Stoptail bridge w/Brass inserts and PRS Phase III locking tuning machines. A pair of PRS 'TCI' (Tuned Capacitance & Inductance) humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and tone controls, as well as independent coil tap toggles for each pickup. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays fantastically well, with Paul's 'Pattern' profile feeling rather substantial in the hand without being at all cumbersome. The profile might be described as a 'U' shape which encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers whilst providing a smooth and responsive playing experience across the 25" scale. The high gloss finish to the rear assists with fast and fluid navigation, whilst the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn ensures easy access to the upper register. The Honduran Rosewood fingerboard feels luxurious under the fingers, whilst the 'Brushstroke Birds' inlays remind the player and audience that this is a very special guitar. 
 
The pair of PRS TCI humbucking pickups deliver a wide array of tones, making this instrument a very versatile tool for the discerning guitarist. The neck is warm and buttery, whilst the bridge is brighter, providing plenty of spank and bite for those snappy clean sounds and crunchy riffs. The middle position balances the nuance of each pickup beautifully for a well rounded and smooth tone. The independent coil tap toggle switches are more complex than you might expect, splitting the pickup into an isolated single-coil, rather than sending one coil to ground as is typical. This means that these pickups can achieve a more authentic single-coil tone than a typical coil-split humbucker. A beautifully crafted and incredibly well-appointed instrument which really does draw together the combined expertise and innovation of the entire PRS team.
