Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 370 Electric Guitar in Burgundyglo. Made in the USA in 2004, this guitar features a set neck construction comprising a semi-hollow Maple body, 3-piece Maple and Walnut neck and 24 fret Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Chrome hardware including the classic 'R' tailpiece, 6-saddle bridge and Schaller sealed tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a trio of Rickenbacker hi-gain single-coils, wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume and tone controls, and a blend knob for balancing the sound in the middle position.

The guitar is refreshing to play, its wide body giving something reassuring to hold onto while the double cutaway gives easy access to the entire fingerboard, even up to the 24th fret. The frets are quite small, and pair well with the 10" fingerboard radius for great feeling chordal work and practicality for lead lines and bends, whilst the Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard feels great under the fingers. The chunky neck shape is substantial in the hand without being cumbersome, with quicker playing  feeling natural thanks to the smooth gloss finish to the rear.

Unplugged, the 370 has a bright, clear and resonant sound thanks to its semi-hollow Maple construction. This can be clearly heard when amplified. The Hi-Gain single coil pickups provide all of the jangle that you would expect from a Rickenbacker. They sound clear, with plenty of chime while still feeling full bodied, and handling a surprising amount of gain. The 370 responds well to overdrive, feeling quite lively, yet stable due to its centre block. This guitar would be great for someone looking for a classic reissue that offers a truly unique playing experience.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. A very light scratch is present to the front face beside the 6th E tuner. Any other markings are difficult to discern.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Extremely light yet consistent scratching is apparent to the fingerboard causing a hazing of the finish in certain light. Very light indentation to the centre rear of the neck is not felt under the thumb. THis is most notable behind the 9th fret.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light finish cracking is apparent surrounding the neck joint, as is typical with Rickenbacker instruments. This is only cosmetic and does not impact the structure of the instrument.  The binding to the rear has shrunk slightly and been re-glued, leaving a small gap by the lower strap button. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching as is common with high gloss finishes.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
