Shergold Masquerader SM02-SD Battleship Grey Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a Shergold Masquerader SM02-SD Electric Guitar in a Battleship Grey finish. Made in Indonesia, this guitar features a Solid Mahogany body, Solid Rosewood neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Medium Jumbo frets, staggered height locking tuners, and a PJE Design Shergold Custom T bridge. The pickups are a USA Seymour Duncan Single Coil in the Neck, a USA Seymour Duncan Single Coil Reverse SSL-6RW in the middle position and a USA Seymour Duncan TB-4. These are wired to a Master Volume, Master Tone (Split-Coil), 5-way pickup selector.
 
One of the more unique features of this guitar is the beautiful hand burnished Rosewood neck. With its C-shape profile and gloss finish, the neck feels very welcoming in the hand. The 9.5" fingerboard radius offers a suitably vintage feel, whilst still allowing for more modern playing techniques. 
 
This guitar has been called a modern reinvention of an Iconic British Guitar that makes a polite nod to the 1970s. Equipped with two single coils and a humbucking pickup, this HSS configuration makes the Masquerader a really versatile guitar and means that some great lead tones can be achieved. The USA Seymour Duncan TB-4 humbucker provides some really meaty lead tones when paired with a good overdrive and being able to split the coils with the coil split means that you can still achieve the SSS sounds you might also look for.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition, two moderate indentations are apparent to the front face beside the G string machine head, cracking the finish. Further light indentation is apparent to the top front edge.

    Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

    Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation below the bridge towards the centre of the lower bout. Further moderate indentation is apparent to the bottom side and the body contour of the rear. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Fu

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
