Here for sale we have a Tanglewood TW15H in Natural Gloss finish. Made in China in 2017, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising an Engelmann Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Walnut, whilst the top features handsome Herringbone Purfling and Rosette, matching the back strip to the rear. The fingerboard is inlaid with attractive Mother of Pearl, and beautifully contrasts with the dark Ebony to set off a very striking looking instrument. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted, along with Gold Kluson style tuning machines.
The Mahogany neck plays fantastically well, with a fairly substantial 'C' shaped profile which fills the hand nicely for a confidence-inspiring and comfortable grip across the register. The volute at the rear is an accurate pre-war feature which is pleasant under the thumb when playing in open position, and paired with the smooth Satin finish to the rear of the neck makes for a smooth, responsive and vintage-inspired playing experience. The Ebony selected for the fingerboard in this particular example is notably dark in appearance, and with its supremely tight grain adds a real sense of luxury, especially when paired with the real Mother of Pearl inlays.
The acoustic voice of the Tanglewood TW15H is rich and warm, with plenty of body thanks to the use of Mahogany in the back and sides. The Dreadnought body design is renowned for producing plenty of volume, not to mention a wide and sensitive dynamic range. The TW15 is no exception, with the Engelmann Spruce top projecting fantastically well and feeling highly responsive to the players touch. The warm yet accurate bass response is well complemented by an open and clear midrange and a sparkling top-end. There is a real shimmer to chordal playing, whilst melodic and fingerstyle players will love the balance that this instrument provides. A top end instrument from the renowned British brand.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, a moderate indentation is apparent to the bass side front edge of the headstock, close to the D tuner. This pierces the finish slightly. Circular scratching is apparent to the sides of the headstock consistent with use of a string winder.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching when viewed under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the treble side of the sound hole. Any other markings are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably to the tuner buttons where the gold has begun to wear off.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
