Here for sale we have a Washburn N2 Nuno Nuno Bettencourt Signature in Natural Matte finish. Made in Indonesia circa.1990's this bolt-on constructed guitar features a Alder body with a 22 Jumbo fret Ebony fingerboard with a Maple neck. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a set of Washburn tuning machines and a Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo. The pickups installed in this guitar are a Washburn humbucker in the neck position and a Bill Lawrence L-500 humbucker in the bridge position, these are wired to a 3-way selector and a master volume control with push-pull coil-split.
 
The Maple feels well balanced and comfortable in the hand offering a slim feeling profile with the hand-rubbed Satin finish giving the rear of the neck an incredibly smooth and ergonomic feel, allowing the player to effortlessly slide up and down the register. The 12" radius makes both chordal and lead playing comfortable as the fretboard gets flatter towards the upper register, providing the player with a solid grip for blistering solos, accentuated by the Jumbo frets which enhance bends and vibrato techniques as the strings glide over the silky frets. The Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo allows the player to perform guitar acrobatics adding to the overall ‘rock n ready’ nature of this guitar.
 
The pickups featured in this guitar sound huge, producing super beefy tones projecting a deep bass and punchy mids well. The Bill Lawrence L500’s high Q stainless transformer steel blades and smaller magnetic window provide a tighter, punchier sound and as much voltage output as possible while maintaining clarity. Each note stands out both in chords and soloing. This made it not only a sensation among high gain rock and metal players excited by iconic adopters like Dimebag Darrell and Nuno Bettencourt, but also appreciated across genre by lap steel, blues and jazz players for its beautiful clean sounds and note fidelity not offered by traditional humbuckers, even making the most extreme shredders get the funk out.
