Here for sale we have an Yamaha FJ-645 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar in Brown Burst finish. Made in Taiwan in 1995, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Spruce top, Agathis back and sides, a Nato Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. This instrument is fitted with a seat of sealed tuning machines.
The Nato neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Thick V’ profile that feels sturdy and robust in the hand whilst allowing for ergonomic thumb positioning and ease of transitions up and down the neck.. The 16" radius lends itself well to chordal playing, whilst remaining practical for fingerstyle in any register, the Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface under the fingers. The Jumbo body shape feels great in the arms, and provides a comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions offering a ‘Connect’ feeling.
The voice of this instrument is rich and well-defined, with a warm yet precise low end, focussed midrange and bright high frequencies. The Spruce top delivers an articulate and crisp tone that resonates excellently and adds a sparkle to each note. The Agathis Back/Sides and Nato neck however provides the player with a darker sound that keeps the guitar sonically balanced and delivers a bold voicing. Playing gently will give you the warm mellow tones needed for those quiet moments, whereas putting some snap and power behind your right hand rewards you with the powerful booming tones this guitar is capable of.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face. Light denting and chipping to the finish is present to the top side edge.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A noticeable scratch/indentation is present to the rear of the neck from the nut to the second fret, this can be felt in the playing position. Light scratching is present across the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This can not be felt under the thumb in playing position.
Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body present scratching, this is most noticeable to the lower bout side edge. Denting causing cracks in the finish are present to the upper bout side edge on both the treble side and bass side.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm)
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. A screw is missing from the truss rod cover.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
