Here for sale we have a Yamaha FS3 A.R.E. in Natural Semi-Gloss finish. Built in China in 2019, this guitar consists of a solid Sitka Spruce top with Yamaha’s Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) wood reforming technology, a solid Mahogany neck back and sides, and an Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include an Ebony bridge, Yamaha open gear machine heads, X-bracing, and a Urea nut.
The matt finish neck plays very well, with a soft ‘V’ profile that gives great thumb positioning, supporting your hand comfortably in all registers. The Concert body style feels compact without being tiny, offering a very engaging and intimate playing experience and will be suitable for a vast range of players as it fits easily in your arms.
The tone of the FS3 is very well balanced, with a warm low end, a clear midrange and a crisp, articulate top end. The A.R.E. treatment accelerates the natural ageing process of the wood, giving the guitar a rich, vintage-quality tone, producing a sound as if you’ve been playing it for years.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates circular scratching surrounding the machine heads. There is some light chipping of the finish by the bass side of the truss rod cover revealing the wood beneath.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, a light indentation is apparent to the fingerboard edge by the bass side of the 1st fret.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation is apparent by the bass side of the soundhole cracking the finish. A similar indentation is apparent to the treble side lower bout of the rear. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting. This is most apparent on either side of the soundhole and is consistent with the use of a plectrum.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The nut has been replaced in-house with a bone nut.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
