Here for sale we have Yamaha SE903A Electric Guitar from 1987 in a Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in Taiwan, this guitar features an Alder body, a Maple neck, a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard, a Vintage-DX tow-point fulcrum tremolo system, and three Yamaha Power Focus active single coil pickups that are wired to a volume, tone, and mid-boost controls as well as a -way pickup selector.
The body is made of alder wood, giving it a balanced and resonant sound, while the "C" shaped maple neck provides comfortable playability. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, 25.5" scale length and dual cutaways provide plenty of room to explore the full range of the instrument.
The SE903A comes fitted with three Yamaha Power Focus active single coil pickups that deliver more modern sounding single coil tones, with the active electronics providing consistent, articulate tones. The pickups are wired to a volume and tone control, as well as a mid-boost control that allows you to really tighten your solos and cut through the mix.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: The front face of the headstock presents chips to the finish towards the treble edge. All other aspects of the headstock present markings.
Neck: The back of the neck and the fingerboard present light markings, visible under direct light. A small crack to the lacquer can be seen behind the 7th fret. This does not affect the structure of the neck. Tooling marks can be seen at the bottom of the neck at the truss rod cavity.
Body: All aspects of the body present light scratching, visible under bright light. There is some residue on the upper horn. On the bass side edge of the lower bout, small chips to the finish can be seen.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. There is not enough material remaining in the frets for any further fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional & can be adjusted
Hardware Condition: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The bridge pickup is missing a screw on the treble side.
Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note
Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 2mm - Bass 2.5mm
Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
Strings on Guitar - 45-100
The string height has been set to 2.5mm/2mm due to twisting of the neck - most noticeably on the bass side around frets 1-4. The new owner may wish to reduce the string height, however this may cause buzzing. Though the neck is twisting, the guitar remains playable at this time.
