Our Workshop

Hey! Welcome to the SUYG Workshop. Headed by Lead Technician Aleks (myself!) and my right hand man Luke, this is where every single guitar we purchase or service passes through to ensure it reaches the best playability possible for the instrument. My focus on instruments is that they all deserve the same "VIP" treatment, whether it's a base model Tanglewood or a top end Custom Shop Fender. I take pride in bringing every guitar I can to it's best condition with careful adjustments and attention to detail. You can read more about how a guitar passes through the workshop HERE

We have a few things that make our workshop a little different to others. As we maintain and process incoming stock for the buying and selling side of SUYG, we set-up between 10-15 guitars a day between us on average. Working 5 days a week, we're setting up approximately 2000 guitars a year. There's very few issues we haven't seen and resolved. This wealth of experience allows us to set guitars up quickly without compromising the quality and attention to detail that we pride ourselves on. We also get to experience every day how guitars "settle" into their set-ups, what adjustments need to be made 24hrs later and how to spot that they're happening. We can quickly and effectively diagnose issues before they become big problems and eliminate them whilst it's a small job.

As a business we are already set up to handle and prepare a large volume of guitars, meaning we're able to reduce our prices to correspond with the time and skill alone, keeping costs low for our customers whilst still receiving an exemplary service. When you book your instrument in for a repair or service, it's sent straight to the top of our work queue and slips into our workflow seamlessly. It'll be treated with the same care and attention as our own stock and set-up with the same goal in mind.

To explain our directive in quick terms - we aim to be excellent, efficient, and affordable.

You can read our feedback from guitars we sell on our Reverb and Ebay stores and see how happy customers are with the work we perform.
